2013 WINTER SPORTS CELEBRATION WAS "A GREAT NIGHT FOR HOCKEY"
On Wednesday, February 27th, Ice Hockey in Harlem honored Brian Leetch for his years of service to the New York hockey and philanthropic communities. Master of Ceremonies Sam Rosen once again presided of event festivities and Mark Messier presented Brian with the award. Special guests on the evening included: Dave Maloney, Ulf Nilsson, Rod Gilbert, Clark Gillies, Butch Goring, Bobby Nystrom, Jean Potvin, EJ Hradek and DB Sweeney. In all, over 250 friends and supporters shared in the celebration. Funds raised through the event will go directly into programming for the girls and boys who are and will be part of the Ice Hockey in Harlem community. Thanks to everyone involved for making this such a special occasion.

Our mission is to improve the social and academic well being of children from the Harlem community. Our organization offers programming that allows children in our community to take advantage of the educational and athletic opportunities provided by youth sports. Through participation in ice hockey, IHIH student-athletes learn the fundamentals of the game, engage in an active lifestyle and broaden their life experiences.
